What happens when my eSIM runs out of data?
Top upRechargeOut of dataUpdated June 19, 2026
Quick answer
Data simply stops until you top up. You can either recharge the same eSIM (if the plan supports it) or buy a new Movia plan and install it alongside the old one — phones hold multiple eSIMs at once.
Running out of data abroad isn't a crisis. Nothing breaks — your connection just pauses until you add more.
Your options
- Recharge / top up the existing eSIM from your order page (if the plan is rechargeable).
- Buy a fresh Movia plan — it activates as soon as it connects, and you can keep multiple eSIMs installed.
Heading somewhere data-hungry? Choosing a larger plan up front is cheaper per GB than topping up repeatedly.
